This week I will be pointing the spotlight on Philippe Bernard, a Software Engineer living in Paris, France.
I was recently looking for a way to convert a couple of PDF catalogs into JPG format for my portfolio page. Having done this before with the use of specialized software which I no longer had installed on my current computer, I began to search online for alternatives.
That’s when I came across Philippe’s website. I have always encountered sites such as these online where you can convert all sorts of file formats but there was something special about this one. The interface seemed very smooth and the PDF conversion into JPG resulted in a super (300DPI) quality, seriously this was more than I needed but wanted to test it out for myself.
I was happy; I got what I needed in only a matter of minutes… and free might I add. But this was not the true reason for writing and bringing you this information. Reading through Philippe’s website I spotted something special that I have never seen before. At the bottom of the website three words impacted my heart. They were “Support the Forest”. I clicked it to see what it was all about and found that for every 5,000 converted PDF’s, a tree would be planted. WOW! This website has such a heartfelt purpose that I instantly thought that I had to share it with you.
But there’s more… What if you wanted to instead convert JPG to PDF? Well, how would you like at the same time to help contribute a vaccination for every 5,000 conversions to PDF?
While I was wanting to present to you both conversion options (PDF to JPG and JPG to PDF) in this post, searching online I came across Philippe’s other website which completes this post so beautifully. Now you too can help plant a tree in the forests, vaccinate needy children and at the same time get the files that you need converted in the most efficient way. Before I forget, here is the other link you will need.
Hope you found this post useful and if I can help answer any questions on your own computer related needs, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
